About Me

Hello, and welcome to my blog!

I’m Morgan and I’m a nineteen-year-old Journalism student at Cardiff University. I’m currently living in Cardiff but am originally from a small rural town called Llandeilo in South West Wales. I adore living in the city, but I have to admit, my heart will always truly lie in the green hills and deep rivers of the Towy Valley. I am proud of my Welsh heritage, which explains why I chose a welsh phrase for the title of my blog. For those of you out there who cannot speak welsh and have been pondering over its’ meaning ‘o fy nghalon’ simply means ‘from my heart’.

I have many interests; the standard young-person loves such as shopping, partying and going on a bender with my girls and boys, to the grandma-esque activities of long walks, reading books and wasting hours of my day watching property development programmes. My blog will be inspired by my many random thoughts, curiosities and lifestyle so please don’t be surprised to see some out-of-place content as it’s likely that this blog will be as scattered as my brain!

I have always grown up around boys. I have one older brother, Jac, who’s 5 years my senior and he has given me many valuable life skills such as how to wind someone up in less than 4 seconds and how to take a decent punch. Also, the majority of my closest friends are boys, which definitely gives me a broader outlook on life than the average teenage girl, as you won’t believe some of the things I’ve seen and heard from these lads in our past 18 years of friendship! One person in particular, Rhydian, has always been my closest friend. He’s 2 weeks younger than me and as my mother always says, we may as well have been born twins we’re so close to one another. He’s enough to drive you crazy at times but he is the most loyal and kind friend that I have ever had.

I suppose you could describe me as a bit of a nerd, but hey, geek chic is in right? There’s nothing I love more than getting lost in a book, learning something you never knew before or the satisfaction of your hard work finally paying off. I absolutely ADORE my degree, and I’m sure my housemates would tell you, I’m forever researching/reading something course-related as its content fascinates me. My university career has opened my eyes to a plethora of invaluable concepts and experiences that have influenced my worldview ever since.

Thank you for visiting O Fy Nghalon for a little look, I hope you find some inspiration, affiliation and revelations within its posts. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you want to know more:
